Hiking in Cook ForestThere are nearly 30 miles of trails to hike in Cook Forest State Park, most of them well groomed and easily accessible to even the novice hiker. The trails average in length from about 0.6 to 3.0 miles. The Indian and Seneca trails are rather steep and should be avoided by persons having a heart condition. Hikers can explore old growth forest, the original "Penn's Woods" . The "Forest Cathedral, a national natural landmark area is easily reached via the Longfellow Trail behind the Log Cabin Visitor Center. MacBeth's Store has Cook Forest trail maps available.
